SunGard-Guardian merger will create a global disaster recovery service

LONDON -- Guardian IT, the debt-laden UK disaster-recovery company that agreed in April to a $167 million ($243 million) bid from SunGard, will complement SunGard Availability Services and its recent acquisition Comdisco, said Keith Tilley, head of SunGard Availability in Europe.
