SunGard sets out plans for Guardian

LONDON -- The SunGard Availability Solutions (SAS) unit of software vendor SunGard will soon embark on a project to integrate debt-laden UK disaster recovery provider Guardian IT into its business, provided SunGard’s agreed £167 million ($243 million) bid for Guardian is approved by the UK government.
