Prudential-Bache Takes Synopsys's Rims For Bond And Equities Trading

London-based securities house Prudential-Bache International has selected a Unix-based system developed by Synopsys to automate trading, accounting and settlement for its international fixed income and European equities operations.

The Synopsys system, dubbed Rims, uses a central data depository to allow Pru-Bache's London and New York offices to access bond and equities portfolio information in real time.

Pru-Bache officials decline to comment on the installation of Rims. However, a source at
