Sophie Meritet - Paris Dauphine University

After her PhD in Economics in 2000, Sophie Méritet worked for 2 years in Houston Texas, as energy economist at the French Consulate and lecturer at University of Houston.

Since 2002, she is Associate Professor in Economics at Université Paris-Dauphine and researcher at Centre de Géopolitique de l'Energie et des Matières Premières (CGEMP). She teaches microeconomics, industrial organization, antitrust, European economics and energy economics. She teaches now at Sce Po Paris and manages continuing education seminars in different institutions and firms.

Responsible for a seminar at Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées for 5 years, she taught also at Ecole Nationale de l'Administration in Strasbourg, American University in Paris and College of Europe in Bruges. Her teaching experience abroad includes - for example - University of Chicago and University of Michigan in the USA, CIDE in Mexico city.

She is author of several articles, her researches are linked to the reorganization of energy markets, firms behaviors and the geopolitics of energy. Alongside her teaching activities and researches, Sophie Méritet is also working as a consultant on contracts.
