UBS swaps funds spike 77% in August

Futures commission merchant reports highest customer funds since Credit Suisse takeover

UBS’s clearing arm reported $1.9 billion of customer funds for swaps clearing at the end of August, an increase of 76.7% from a month earlier.

The bulk of the rise came in the second half of the month, during which customer funds at UBS Securities – the bank’s futures commission merchant (FCM) – climbed by $690 million, or 54.4%.
