Morgan Stanley leads US G-Sib non-bank assets jump
Exposures cross $7trn milestone after Q1 surge
Non-bank assets at US global systemically important banks (G-Sibs) topped $7 trillion for the first time in Q1 2026, driven by a record $625 billion quarterly increase.
The total crossed the milestone just one year after passing $6 trillion, as all eight US G-Sibs reported higher non-bank exposures.
Morgan Stanley posted the largest increase in dollar terms, with non-bank assets growing by $168
