Equity and securitisation RWAs surge at Chinese banks

Eight of 12 lenders hit new highs for equity RWAs in Q4

Chinese banks saw risk-weighted assets (RWAs) from equity investments and securitisations surge in the final quarter of 2025, continuing a long-term trend of growth in risk types other than credit risk.
