UK bank logged five backtesting exceptions in 2025, keeping model in penalty band
Barclays’ regulatory value-at-risk model remains on amber status after recording another hypothetical backtesting exception in Q4 2025, leaving the rolling 12-month total at five for the second consecutive half-year. The bank was first downgraded from green status in Q2 2025 following four tariff-driven breaches.
