Aggregate measures of systemic importance for top banks jumped to new highs, driven by sharp rises in underwriting activity and securities trading volumes

All 14 systemic indicators used to assess global systemically important banks (G-Sibs) hit record highs in the most recent sampling, underlining the banking sector’s expansion during 2024.

The Financial Stability Board, applying the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision’s methodology, released systemic risk scores for 77 global banks on November 27. The framework aggregates high-level indicators
