EU banks’ systemic indicators soared to record highs in 2024
Trading activity drives surge across 29 banks
Systemic indicators for the European Union’s largest banks expanded across the board in 2024, with securities-related gauges in particular rising at a marked pace.
Constant-sample aggregates climbed up for all but one of the 16 indicators collated by the European Banking Authority (EBA), which feed into assessments of global systemically important banks (G-Sibs).
