OCC payment obligations hit record in Q1

Liquid resources up 6.5% as liquidity risk grows to new highs

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) disclosed record payment obligations in the first quarter, setting all-time highs for both actual and estimated exposures.

The largest payment made to the central counterparty (CCP) reached $7.5 billion on a multi-day basis and $6.9 billion on an intra-day basis. These figures were up from $5.3 billion and $4.7 billion respectively the previous quarter, and
