Basel III overhaul adds €85bn to EU banks’ op RWAs

BNP Paribas, Soc Gen and SEB see largest rises in absolute terms

Operational risk-weighted assets (RWAs) rose 28.7% across 11 major European banks in the first quarter, climbing to €380.6 billion ($431.8 billion), following the implementation of the final Basel III reforms.
