At Eurex, default fund grows 45% to record size

Market volatility and current interest rates level behind increase in Q2

Eurex Clearing’s default fund grew 45% to €9.1 billion ($9.8 billion) at end-June, its largest since records became available in 2015.

The hike was driven by members’ contributions, which rose 47% to €8.9 billion, while the central counterparty (CCP)’s own input into the fund stayed flat at €200 million.
