EBA guidelines on IRB boosts Danske’s credit RWAs

The bank expects further increases in the second half of the year after adding $3.17 billion in Q2

Danske Bank added Dkr19.8 billion ($3.17 billion) worth of credit risk-weighted assets (RWAs) in the second quarter, as it continued to implement guidelines from the European Banking Authority (EBA) on internal models for credit risk.

The quarterly increase pushed total credit RWAs to Dkr641.5 billion at end-June.
