Matthew Attwood talks to Credit's new columnist Andrew Kasapis, director of consultancy Credit Hedge Ltd, about what was behind this year's subprime snarl-up

In a career spanning nearly 20 years, Andrew Kasapis has seen a lot. He entered the markets in 1988 as an assistant quantitative analyst working with exotic FX options traders at NatWest Markets, continuing his front-office work when he moved to BZW in a similar role in 1993.

From there, deciding he wanted a break from investment banking, he moved to Coopers & Lybrand as a senior market risk
