Hong Kong-based commodity supply chain manager Noble Group is growing at a blistering pace and is putting in place a risk management structure to match its ambitions. Joe Marsh talks to its chief risk officer and chief operating officer for finance

Commodity supply chain manager Noble Group saw year-on-year revenue growth of 71% to $23.5 trillion in 2007, reflecting the commodities boon in recent years. But the Hong Kong-based company's swift expansion - with a growing number of offices and industrial facilities worldwide, and exposure to some very volatile markets - pose significant risk management challenges.
