Eurozone unlikely to break up, says Zurich chief economist

At the launch of the World Economic Forum's Global Risks 2011 report in London today, the chief economist of Zurich Financial Services, Daniel Hofmann, played down the chances of the eurozone dissolving. "I personally believe that the break-up of the eurozone is a very, very small risk," he said. "The political will is there to maintain the current union, and the political will is there to prevent the current crisis from spreading."
