CME aims to offer client UST cross-margining internally in 2027
CCP has filed initial proposal with SEC; wants to offer more products than joint FICC programme
CME Group is going ahead with its plans to compete directly with the Fixed Income Clearing Corporation in US Treasury clearing. The clearing house is coming to the market with a cross-margin arrangement that will produce margin offsets between futures, cash and repo trades within CME, providing an alternative to its existing offset programme with FICC.
