HSBC's London office: new risk analytics head met team this week

HSBC’s global risk analytics unit has been placed under the leadership of Ray O’Brien, the bank’s chief operating officer for global risk.

The former head of the unit, Manoj Bhaskar, has moved to the newly created role of head of model risk management, reporting to O’Brien. The change also means the analytics team will no longer report into HSBC’s traded risk group, which is led by Ed Jenkins, global head of wholesale market risk.

The changes were announced by the bank’s chief risk officer
