Adoboli court hears of UBS’s internal control failures


Colin Bell, the global head of operational risk control at UBS, told a London court today of the failures in the internal controls at UBS in detecting the actions of Kweku Adoboli, the accused rogue trader.

Bell formed part of an investigation called 'Project Bronze', which was set up on September 19, 2011 – days after Adoboli had allegedly written an email to his supervisors in which he detailed his actions.

The investigation into the control processes, procedures and systems at UBS identified
