Op risk sound practices paper delayed yet again

Basel - Global banking regulators delayed publication of their operational risk sound practices paper yet again in November.

They now hope the paper, provisionally titled ‘Sound Practices for the Management and Supervision of Operational Risk’ and originally intended for issue by the middle of this year, will appear by the end of December or beginning of January.

Officials said in late November that the delay reflects the expansion of the report’s scope and aims since its planned publication was first announced, in January, in the second consultative paper (CP2) on the Basel II banking accord proposed by the Basel
