The European Commission has published the text of the draft directive on supervisory consents for mergers and acquisitions in the financial sector following its recent adoption by the European Parliament with some amendments to the European Commission's text.
The directive is intended to improve clarity and transparency in supervisory assessment and help ensure consistency across the EU. The main changes include: supervisory authorities must take their decision within 60 working days of being
