Operations performance indexes

The US Government Securities Operations Performance Index improved in November to average 302 basis points, down 570bp from October, but remains in a dangerously unstable performance range for the 10th week running. Failed Treasury settlements eased, reducing the massive risk that has shifted to the US government bond markets in the past weeks. The Mortgage Backed Securities Operations Performance Index averaged 29bp but ended the month with a steep climb to 55bp. Mortgage activity increased
