Regulation - Markets more desirable than regulation, says Unipol CRO


Market forces are a more desirable mechanism of price-discovery and self-correction than heavy regulation, according to Renzo Avesani, chief risk officer of Bolgona-based insurer Unipol.

Speaking at the Risk Europe conference in Frankfurt, organised by Life & Pensions' sister title Risk magazine, Avesani said: "Markets are not always right, but who has been proven more right than the market?
