Wer schuld war an den Verlusten, die seit dem zweiten Halbjahr 2007 die Bilanzen verschiedener Finanzinstitute in den USA und Europa belasten, ist nicht einfach festzumachen. In den Instituten mit Milliardenverlusten aus mit Hypotheken unterlegten Investments zeigten die Finger zunächst vor allem auf die Vorstandsvorsitzenden.
