Basle Committee Reports On Derivatives Transparency


THE Basle Committee on Banking Supervision has released a report surveying the transparency level of derivatives activities at large international banks and securities trading firms.

The survey was conducted jointly by the Basle Committee and the technical committee of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). The report was released earlier this month.

Though most bank sources reacted positively to the survey on derivatives reporting, some industry observers criticised
