Outsourcing IT Management Said To Reduce Operational Risks

LONDON -- Banks outsourcing the operational management of their information technology systems gain better control of costs and reduce the risks arising from shortages of skilled IT staff, says Saffron Rainey, head of the facilities management services provided by Midas-Kapiti International (MKI).

He was commenting on Washington-based Riggs Bank's becoming the first financial institution to sign up for MKI's financial management service, MKI FM.

MKI is the financial software unit of UK software
