Wyman head challenges need for op risk capital charges

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA -- Operational risk management is more about improving management practices than better measurement, risk consultants Oliver Wyman & Co chairman John Drzik told the fifth annual risk roundtable in April.

"While there has been a lot of progress in efforts to quantify operational risk, it is being over-emphasised as a solution," he told the roundtable, which was sponsored by the Wharton Financial Institutions Center and the Oliver Wyman Institute and held at the Wharton
