Banks set to define op risk modelling for regulators at May conference


NEW YORK -- The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision's Risk Management Group is organising a conference in New York at the end of May designed to help the international regulatory body understand current bank op risk modelling practices and inform the implementation work that the body is planning to turn its attention to in the second half of 2003.

The conference, which is being hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, will be held on Thursday, May 29, and Friday, May 30. Attendance is
