Financial Firms Way Ahead In Managing Technology Risk

NEW YORK -- Financial services companies are ahead of other companies when it comes to managing technology risks. They report fewer losses and are a model for other businesses.

That's the conclusion of a survey of US and European businesses showing that outside the financial sector businesses often don't adequately understand risks posed by technology, have difficulty identifying the risks and lack the tools for effective management of them.

The survey by Saint Paul, Minnesota-based insurance
