Credito Italiano Builds Risk Group For New Investment Banking Unit

MILAN--Credito Italiano, the Milan-based commercial bank, is restructuring its operations to build up a powerful investment banking arm by the end of this year. Bank officials say they are now setting up an independent risk control group to oversee risk management for the new investment banking group. Credito Italiano is installing new trading and risk management systems to support its new arm, they add, including applications from Algorithmics, Summit Systems and Wall Street Systems.
