Basle Committee, Iosco Propose Trading Disclosure Standards

BASLE--The Basle Committee on Banking Supervision, together with the technical committee of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (Iosco), has released a consultative paper recommending standards for the public disclosure of the trading and derivative activities of banks and securities firms. The paper is meant to replace the recommendations on disclosure practices put forth by the two committees in 1995.
