Esma supervision proposals ensnare Bloomberg and Tradeweb

Derivatives and bonds venues would become subject to centralised supervision

The European Union’s largest swap and bond trading platforms, Bloomberg and Tradeweb, would become subject to supervision by the European Securities and Markets Authority under proposed reforms, according to a leaked document seen by Risk.net.

In December last year the European Commission published a series of proposed reforms aimed at further integrating and bolstering the bloc’s financial markets
