Industry groups call on EC to delay foreign CCP reporting

Trade bodies seek to prevent late-running rules causing duplicated implementation projects

A coalition of 10 industry groups is calling for the European Commission to postpone the start of a new reporting requirement until the European Union’s regulators have finalised the specific details of the rules. The groups sent a letter to the EC yesterday (October 21) requesting a delay to a new obligation for counterparties to report details of their clearing activity on foreign central
