Esma official insists CCP model approvals will speed up

CCP supervision chief says regulator is seeking more human resources for its new responsibilities

Risk model validations will not slow overall under reworked clearing rules, says Klaus Löber, chair of the European Securities and Markets Authority’s central counterparty (CCP) supervisory committee.

His insistence that rule changes will speed up the process comes following industry complaints they’ll do the precise opposite.
