
Industry expects US FRTB proposals by year-end
Fed likely to co-ordinate progress with EU, which may also accelerate its timetable

Industry sources are expecting the Federal Reserve to release draft proposals of the US version of Basel trading book capital requirements by the end of this year.
Four sources tell Risk.net they have been informed that the US agencies will publish, or are considering whether to publish, a notice of proposed rulemaking on the Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) by the end of this year – although a fifth source is not so confident.
