New managers flock to London

Drawn by the heady expansion of the UK hedge fund industry, a wave of bright, young fund managers is switching over from the big investment houses. They are attracted by the rising number of hedge funds managed from London, the mushrooming of funds under management and by the number of institutions entering the market.

One of the more high-profile cases is Scott McGlashan, formerly of Perpetual Investment Management, who started trading for his new London-based firm, Jade Absolute Fund Managers
