Many managers stall buying professional indemnity and directors' and officers' cover - until it's too late

While investors litigating may be the last thing on hedge fund managers' minds, and if all goes well it will not come to pass, the present lack of litigation outside the US makes now a beneficial time to purchase some insurance.

There are two main kinds of cover to consider, according to Brian Horwell, director at Miller Insurance Services - professional indemnity (PI) and directors' and officers' (D&O) insurance.
