CFTC commisioners express misgivings over Dodd-Frank rule-making

Senior regulators reveal "concern" over segregation of margin and swap data repositories

Commissioners at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) have expressed a number of concerns regarding the regulation of swaps under the Dodd-Frank Act at the latest public rule-making hearing held by the US regulator.

In its most recent meeting held on November 19, CFTC staffers appeared before commissioners to outline proposed rules they have drafted governing the segregation of margin in swap transactions cleared with central counterparties and the establishment of swap data
