New EU-wide regulations for retail investment products are needed to lure investors back into European securities, according to speakers at the ICFR conference in Amsterdam
It's not very often that one hears financial industry professionals call for more regulation these days, but that's exactly what I've heard at the International Centre for Financial Regulation's annual conference on regulatory reform in Amsterdam over the past two days.
The conference was held under Chatham House rules, which in this particular case meant we're allowed to say what was talked about
