EU member states still at loggerheads over AIFM


European Union (EU) member states have failed yet again to reach an agreement on the alternative investment fund managers (AIFM) directive, leading to a postponement of negotiations.

A trialogue meeting between the EU council and parliament scheduled for yesterday (October 14) has been postponed "due to some persisting disagreements within the council's committee of permanent representatives on the way to go forwards".

In a statement parliamentary rapporteur Jean-Paul Gauzès said the
