Cebs updates op risk compendium; internal governance guide coming

The Committee of European Banking Supervisors (Cebs) recently updated its compendium of supplementary guidelines on implementation issues of operational risk.

The new compendium now contains guidance pertaining to op risk mitigation through the use of insurance and other risk-transfer mechanisms. The original document was published in September 2009, and aimed to address issues faced by national supervisors in their assessment of firms' operational risk frameworks.
