Freshfields launches practice to counter 'aggressive cross-border' investigations

Law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has launched a global investigations practice to help multinational businesses respond to what it describes as “the mounting risks posed by aggressive cross-border investigations from regulators and prosecution authorities”.

Areas covered include accounting and financial reporting, anti-trust, bribery and corruption, and market manipulation.
The firm says there is growing international co-operation between regulators, with information-sharing agreements
