International supervisors discuss IFRS enforcement

Supervisors from 33 countries have met to debate future enforcement of International Financing Reporting Standards (IFRS) accountancy rules. The discussions, held in Paris on December 3–4 by the Committee of European Securities Regulators (Cesr), included representatives from Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Japan, Mexico, South Africa, Turkey, Switzerland and the US, as well as representatives from the European Economic Area.
