IIF calls for resolute G-20 in Pittsburgh

WASHINGTON, DC – The Institute of International Finance (IIF) on Monday called on the leaders of the G-20 nations to stay resolute and take action in five key areas at their September 24–25 meeting in Pittsburgh.

Governments must develop credible strategies for phasing out financial support and stimulus measures, the IIF says in a policy letter. This would anchor expectations and help restore normal functioning of markets, while maintaining support where necessary, now that the financial crisis
