E.ON completes 475MW wind farm in US

German utility E.ON has announced the completion of its 457.5 megawatt (MW) Panther Creek wind farm in Texas, making it one of the ten largest wind farms in the United States.

The Panther Creek wind farm is a three-phase project that consists of 305 turbines. With the completion of the third and final phase, E.ON has 1.4 gigawatts (GW) of installed capacity in North America including the world's largest 780 MW onshore wind farm at Roscoe in Texas.
