CEBS approves financial reporting amendments

The Committee of European Banking Supervisors (CEBS) has updated its guidelines on financial reporting.

The amendments take into account a public consultation on the guidelines.

Though beyond the scope of the consultation, European securities regulators have complained of differences in the application of CEBS’s guidelines in the EU’s 27 member states.

CEBS said that, while it would continue to welcome industry feedback, there are links between its guidelines and the International Financial Reporting Standards, applied across the European Union. It also said it would not make further amendments to
