BIS releases annual report
The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) submitted its annual report on June 24, at its annual general meeting.
The report covers the global economy, emerging market economies, monetary policy in the advanced industrial countries, foreign exchange markets, financial markets and the financial sector in the advanced industrial countries.
Malcolm Knight, general manager of the BIS, warned of possible inflationary pressures when he spoke at the meeting. Knight advised central banks to raise interest rates to combat inflation.
