US banking regulators published the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for Basel Ia on December 26. The comment deadline has been set for March 26. The draft notice was released in early December when regulators indicated that they would extend the comment period for the Basel II NPR, originally January 23, to allow the two notices to be studied side by side.
