British bankers want regulation debate
Angela Knight, cheif executive of the British Bankers’ Association, said the UK needs a comprehensive review of credit and services regulation.
Knight said: "Banking and financial services in the UK is a truly global business and needs the right regulatory framework to continue its success. But continuing success needs effective regulation – both for banks and customers. Banks need clarity about which regulator deals with what.”
Knight made the comments at the BBA’s annual general meeting yesterday. To view the annual report, click here.
